A Sporting Hub for the Wheatbelt
About the Project
The new integrated complex provides a community and sporting hub for Toodyay’s residents. The precinct consists of an Aquatic Centre, Rectangular Soccer and Hockey Field, Courts for Basketball, Netball and Tennis.
The sloping site and contention with underground rock posed some challenges, with the installation of the underground services, along with the structural footings for sports lighting towers requiring excavation to a depth of up 3m in difficult conditions.
With a very short procurement and planning window, the project was efficiently completed to ensure the facility was working efficiently and available for community occupancy.
