Providing Students Quality Facilities
About the Project
As a part of the State Governments investments package into WA’s schools, the aim was to provide Southern River College and its students with state-of-the-art facilities to put their sporting, performing & scientific skills to the test.
The upgrades IET were engaged for, were focused on the construction of a new sports hall, STEM laboratory, multiple sports courts, as well as upgrades to a performing arts space, lecture theatre and science laboratories
This work was completed with ADCO Construction.
Working on a fully operational education facility saw many challenges throughout the construction process. Extended working hours and co-ordination with the School kept noise disruption to classes to a minimum, ensuring tasks were completed on time and programs were met.
The Scope of Works
We installed a broad spectrum of electrical equipment tailored to suit each environment. From fully compliant emergency stop systems in the STEM centre to new LED sports lighting in the Gym as well as new fibre backbone links between existing and new blocks to integrate everything into the school’s communications infrastructure.
The result was a state-of-the-art educational facility fully integrated into the existing school campus. Southern River Colleges multimillion-dollar upgrades will enhance local students’ education and provide future generations and the wider community with greater opportunity.
