Highgate Primary School
State-of-the-Art Early Childhood Education Centre
About the Project
Insight Electrical Technology was involved in the delivery of a new teaching block at Highgate Primary School as part of the WA State Governments initiative to support increased capacity at the School.
Established in 1895 Highgate Primary School is one of the oldest in Perth’s metropolitan area. IET were engaged to provide Electrical, Solar and Communication solutions for the State-of-the-Art teaching facility.
This work was completed with Broad Construction.
Considerations
The New Teaching Block saw an extension of the schools existing underground infrastructure with New LV Consumer & Submains installed to cater for the increased demand.
A Phillips Dynalite intelligent lighting control system operates the DALI light fittings in the classrooms ensuring maximum usability whilst the 10kW solar system means the school’s energy efficiency and sustainability requirements are met.
The school remained operational throughout construction, we worked closely with the head contractor and key stakeholders to ensure disruptions were kept to a minimum and the school was able to operate with minimal impact on operations.
The Scope of Works
The result was a purpose-built facility for teachers, students and the wider community to enjoy for years to come. Our dedicated project team exceeded client expectations, handing the project over 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
