HBF Park
Enhancing an Iconic Asset
HBF Park originally known as Perth Oval was redeveloped in 2004 creating Perth’s only rectangular stadium, the venue serves as the competition base for the sporting codes of Rugby League, Rugby Union and Soccer as well as hosting a range of world-class concert events.
With Perth hosting several matches in the 2023 Women’s World Cup tournament, and to meet the requirements of the tournament organisers, the venue required a number of enhancements. These upgrades bring this historic Perth venue up to FIFA standards while providing ongoing benefits for future events and the public of WA.
Upgrades include:
- Replacement of Sports lighting with LED compliant to FIFA A broadcast standards
- Upgrading the player amenities and change rooms
- Construction of a new Media building
- Upgraded Outside Broadcast/Media infrastructure
- Installation of colour change lighting on Eastern Stand
- Replacement of the Venues West Office
- Construction of a new players’ race
- Replacement of the pitch
The works have created an enhanced facility for entertainment and clientele experience which will encourage more people to enjoy this venue, and ultimately attract more significant events such as the Women’s World Cup to Perth.
